Academy Award and four time Golden Globe winner Jon Voight wiped rain off the seats for Gold Star families ahead of President Donald Trump’s “Salute to America” ceremony. A video capturing his act quickly went viral on social media.

“While Hollywood Elites protested President @realDonaldTrump’s ‘Salute to America’ on July 4th,” Michael Hahn wrote on Twitter. “Here’s a video of John Voight cleaning the rain off seats for Gold Star families.”

“This is what it’s all about!” he added.

Gold Star families are relatives of U.S. military members who died in battle, paying the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country.

The 80-year-old “Midnight Cowboy” star posted a tribute to President Trump on Tuesday, July 9, calling him “the greatest president.”

“My fellow Americans, I stand with you and the truth of our nation, with great pride and honor. I say this truly from a place of God’s truths,” he said in the video. “Our nation is stronger and wiser because we have taken a chance on a man who has become the greatest president. I’m honored to call him President Trump.

“And as we come closer to 2020, let us track all the magnificent documentations that have been signed, sealed and delivered to this country and its glory. We must continue this race of truths and stand with President Trump for his next win. Because this is more than win; this is not a sacrifice. This is God’s honor, God’s trust for this nation. For this land of liberty. For justice for all.

“This is America, this land of the free. This is our president, Donald Trump, that will set the nation to be the greatest land of peace and love … and great again. God bless.”

Several people praised Voight for his words in the comments.

“You are a national treasure,” one person commented.

“Hearing your words said with sincerity, passion and love for this country warms my heart. God Bless you and all of your loved ones,” another person wrote.

Another person wrote on in the comments: “I am in awe of our President and YOU, Jon Voight. It takes great bravery in Hollywood to support truth and God. I thank you and I applaud you.”

Voight is one of the few voices in Hollywood in support of President Trump.

Earlier this year, in May, Voight shared a video on Twitter where he declared President Trump as “the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln.”

“I know that you’ll agree with me when I say that our president has our utmost respect and our love,” he said in the video titled “To my fellow Americans. Part 1.”

“This job is not easy for he’s battling the left and their absurd words of destruction. … Our nation has been built on the solid ground from our forefathers and there is a moral code of duty that has been passed on from President Lincoln,” Voight continued.

Voight added that he wanted to “acknowledge the truth” that President Trump’s actions and policies have made the nation “stronger, safer, and with more jobs.”

He continued, “Don’t be fooled by the political left because we are the people of this nation that is witnessing triumph.”

“So let us stand with our president, let us stand up for this truth that President Trump is the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln. God bless America,” he said.
