Valentine’s Day is a time when people buy gifts for their romantic partners and chocolate is a tasty tradition that still has its charm.

In France, Valentine’s Day is a time when chocolate makers pull their new collection from the oven and put it in the front window of their shops.

“Chocolate is something you can easily share,” Edouard Hirsinger, French chocolate maker, said. “It’s such a nice Valentine’s Day gift. We buy it to offer the person we have in our heart.”

This chocolate-maker has his own recipe, from books written by his grandfather, who first opened the shop in 1902.

As the French say, ‘the older the cook-pot, the better the recipe.”
