US: Invasion Means Pipeline Won’t Go Ahead

As tensions build over Ukraine, the West has warned Moscow of devastating sanctions if it invades Ukraine. One that is considered is to halt the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, built to bring Russian natural gas to Germany. Now, Washington says it has agreed with Berlin that the project definitely won’t go ahead if Russia invades Ukraine. Meanwhile, Russia’s top diplomat says Moscow will not start a war over Ukraine.
