The United States and the European Union on Tuesday announced at COP26 that about 100 nations have joined their Global Methane Pledge. They have committed themselves to cut emissions of the potent greenhouse gas methane as part of efforts to contain global warming. Analysts say fixing leaky oil and gas infrastructure is the fastest and cheapest way to curb methane emissions.
