President Donald Trump sent New Year’s wishes on Twitter, wishing both his supporters and detractors a happy new year.
“As our Country rapidly grows stronger and smarter, I want to wish all of my friends, supporters, enemies, haters, and even the very dishonest Fake News Media, a Happy and Healthy New Year,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “2018 will be a great year for America!”

Trump and his family celebrated the new year at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
Among those attending the party were Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner, as well as their two oldest children, Arabella and Joseph; Eric Trump and his wife, Lara; Donald Trump Jr., and his oldest son, Donald Trump III.
Fox Business host Lou Dobbs was also in attendance, as was former New York Mets first baseman Keith Hernandez.
In a separate Tweet, Trump wrote, “HAPPY NEW YEAR! We are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, and much faster than anyone thought possible!”

Since Trump came to office in January last year, the stock market has added over $5 trillion in value, and the unemployment number has dropped to the lowest number since 2000.
GDP growth is growing at its fastest pace in two years, and deregulation is driving business optimism.
A tax bill passed in December is expected to further drive economic growth and lower taxes for most middle-income families.
But despite Trump’s long list of achievements in his first year in office, most media reporting on him has been negative.
Pew Research Center found that only 5 percent of coverage during Trump’s first 100 days in office was positive.
