In his first radio interview since being elected, Donald Trump says neither Democrats nor the media ever apologized to him for falsely accusing him of colluding with Russia.
On Thanksgiving Day, President Donald Trump gave a lengthy interview with journalist, author, and radio host Bill O’Reilly wherein he candidly spoke about hot button issues like the impeachment inquiry, the alleged Russia Collusion, keeping Mexican drug cartels in check, and the homeless problem in California.
Trump also expressed his personal feelings about being under attack daily by his political opponents and the media.
O’Reilly started with a hot topic, the current impeachment procedure. “Were you surprised that the narrative being put out by the Democratic Party and the press right now, is all about you trying to hurt Biden for personal gain?” O’Reilly asked.
“Well, it’s a false narrative and it’s shocking, except that they’re corrupt. The media is a part of the Democrat Party, essentially, and the media is very corrupt,” Trump said, adding, “Generally speaking, you read these stories in The New York Times or The Washington Post, it has nothing to do with those hearings, and you see what’s happening with the polls, way down, the concept of impeaching the President are way down.”
While touching on the subject of being loathed by his opponents, O’Reilly asked, “What was your feeling when Mueller finally said, we don’t really have anything on the President?”
The president said, “Well, I knew I did nothing wrong, just like Hillary Clinton the other day said that Tulsi Gabbard and that Jill Stein, the Green Party, that they’re agents of Russia. OK. Well, that’s the same thing they said about me, and it was just as fake. Now, I know, I don’t know those two people, but I know they have nothing to do with Russia, OK.”
“Did any of the press apologize to you?” O’Reilly asked. “Did none of the press said, hey, because you were convicted in The New York Times, Washington Post, and the cable nets, they convicted you?” O’Reilly asked.
“Nope, not one person said it, and Mueller didn’t say it. His bunch of 13 angry Democrats never said it. It went to 18, by the way, as you know. But they never said it. The Washington Post never apologized to me for false reporting for years. The New York Times didn’t apologize,” the president said.
Last month, the White House stopped subscribing to the New York Times and the Washington Post and ordinated federal agencies to do the same, the Epoch Times reported.
“Not renewing subscriptions across all federal agencies will be a significant cost saving for taxpayers,” White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said in a statement.
Trump called the New York Times “a fake newspaper,” and continued, “We don’t even want it in the White House anymore, we’re gonna probably terminate that and the Washington Post.” Trump said, noting both papers received Pulitzer Prices for reporting about Trump-Russia. “They’re fake. But you take a look at the New York Times, and you take a look at the kind of reporting they do, it turned out to be all wrong.”
The administration kept subscriptions to other papers, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Times, and the New York Post.
Now Trump also directed federal agencies to follow suit and stop subscribing to the New York Times and Washington Post.
