President Donald Trump energized Pennsylvanians at his rally on May 20, underlining the state’s record-low unemployment rate.
Beautiful evening for a MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN rally tonight in Pennsylvania. Thank you, I love you! #MAGA https://t.co/6oqbA5Y5zU

The unemployment rate in Pennsylvania dropped to a record low of 3.8 percent in April. But Trump also had a message: If Americans want to continue to have a growing, healthy economy, then they should vote Republican.
“We’ve got the hottest economy anywhere in the world,” said the president at the rally, uploaded by C-SPAN. “The United States added 263,000 jobs just last month, far exceeding any expectations.”
Trump mentioned that the United States has become the leading oil and natural gas producer in the world—with Pennsylvania as the top producer of natural gas in the country.

As much as the crowd was encouraged by the president, they showed disapproval when Trump spoke of the Democratic competition for the 2020 elections.
“Sleepy Joe said that he’s running to quote ‘Save the world’—well he was, he’s going to save every country but ours,” said Trump. “Remember he said a week ago, China is not a competitor?”
President Trump criticized Biden’s remarks in an interview with Fox: “China is a massive competitor of ours. They want to take over the world.”

During the rally, Trump conducted what he called a “cheap poll,” asking spectators which of the two slogans they prefer: “Make America Great Again” or “Keep America Great.”
They preferred, “Keep it Great.”

Chinese State-Owned Companies
Recently, Chinese state-owned companies have been under fire.
The president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing, Scott Paul, said at a House Committee hearing that Chinese state-owned companies are a threat to national security and American jobs.
“China’s model of state-led capitalism has contributed to the loss of 3.4 million U.S. jobs, and the hollowing out of our industrial banks,” said Paul.
American taxpayers shouldn’t subsidize China’s state-owned enterprises. But that’s happening right now in our transit procurement markets. We support bipartisan legislation to fix this. I explain in my testimony before @TransportDems @TransportGOP today. https://t.co/gptIxfLaoR
