Trump Extends Ongoing North Korea Sanctions

President Donald Trump is extending existing U.S. sanctions on North Korea—mostly because of the country’s nuclear weapons program.

In a notice sent to congress, Trump wrote that he’s continuing the “National emergency with respect to North Korea” that was first declared in 2008.
