Tom Hanks just gave a major fan a birthday surprise she will never forget.

Samantha Aragon was celebrating her birthday at a local restaurant over the weekend with her friends and husband at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, KRQE reported.

Aragon was having a great celebration, but things only got better when she noticed her favorite Hollywood actor, Tom Hanks, sitting at the table next to them.

She was definitely not expecting him to be there, and at first she questioned whether it was really him.

“We sat and we listened and when we could hear him talk, we knew it was him,” she told KRQE.

According to the news outlet, the entire Aragon family is a big fan of the Hollywood actor. Aragon said “Forrest Gump” was her favorite Tom Hanks movie.

Other people at the restaurant noticed too, and they were all trying to take sneaky selfies with the Hollywood actor.

“Somebody was geeking out at any given time,” she told the media.

Since she sat at the table next to Hanks, she started to say how much she would love it if the Hollywood actor sang “Happy Birthday” to her as her birthday present.

“I said, ‘Can he just sing happy birthday to me too?’ I think he probably heard that,” Aragon said.

Whether or not the actor noticed the hints or heard her, he made her birthday wish come true by coming over to her table.

“He said, ‘Well, where’s your dessert? We would’ve sang to you.’ I said, ‘Well, we haven’t gotten it yet.’ He said, ‘I’ll sing to you anyways,’” Aragon said.

She told KRQE that not only was she was in total shock at what happened, but her friend also cried as well.

It was a very quick interaction between the actor and his fan, and Aragon made sure she captured it on to her phone, while he sang to her.

“Probably the best 12 seconds of my life,” she said.

In the video, Hanks sang her a short happy birthday song, with her responding by telling him how much she loves him. For Aragon, it would leave a lasting impression on her.

“He was tremendous,” she said. “He’s just the nicest person.”

According to the news outlet, he was in New Mexico filming the science fiction movie Bios, where he plays the last person on earth.

After Amblin films procured the rights to the movie, Steven Spielberg called the movie an “original, emotional stirring tale that at its core is very much an Amblin movie” in a statement, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Spielberg said he could think of no one else more perfect to “embody this story about the meaning of being human.”

According to NM Film News, the script was written by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell. The story focuses on a robot, played by Caleb Landry Jones, built by Hanks’s character, who is trying to create a human-like caretaker for his dog.

The film also stars Samira Wiley, who will be featured alongside Hanks in his adventures to build a relationship between the robot and his beloved dog.

Hanks appears to have been in New Mexico at least since last week, according to a photo he took for his Twitter page.

The Hollywood actor has an interesting habit of taking pictures of stray items such as gloves, socks, shoes, and couches on his Twitter feed.
