The giant panda Xiao Liwu, whose name means “little gift,” just had his 6th birthday party in San Diego Zoo on July 30.
A video showed the panda playing with burlap pillows and other gifts, as well as enjoying several special-made bamboo cupcakes, during the conservation-themed party.

China is believed to have around 2,000 giant pandas. Although the giant panda has been reclassified from endangered to vulnerable, their habitats are still under threat from urbanization and pollution.
In the US, there are 12 giant pandas living in zoos in San Diego, Atlanta, Memphis and Washington DC, according to Newsy.
