Singer Taylor Swift donated $10,000 to a 16-year-old fan who was diagnosed with stage 4 osteosarcoma that spread to her lung.

The four-time Grammy winner left a comment on Trinity Foster’s page along with a donation.

Swift commented on the GoFundMe page that she saw Foster’s photos involving Swift’s new album.

“Trinity, I saw photos of your album release party that you did in your hospital room,” Swift said. “And wanted to say thank you for being so kind and supportive! I hope I can give you a hug in person soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to send you this and all my love. Your friend, Taylor.”

Foster said she loved the album so much that she had to “have a party for such greatness.”

Many commenters on that post tagged Swift in order to get Swift’s attention.

Before Swift made her donation of $10,000, Foster had only raised under $4,000.

After discovering that Swift had donated, Foster took a screenshot of the comment and uploaded it onto Instagram.

“OMG DREAMS REALLY DO COME TRUE thank you guys so much for tagging her and actually getting it noticed, I love every single one of u,” she wrote.

According to the description on her GoFundMe page, she was unable to get all the nutrition she needed.

“I had to have a feeding tube put in because I couldn’t get enough nutrition,” Foster wrote.

She then added the reason for starting her GoFundMe.

“The chemo is really hard for me and my insurance doesn’t cover everything that I need,” she wrote. “We have tried to get other insurances like ten care but were told we did not apply.”

“This is a very hard time for me and my family and if you have anything to donate it would be very much appreciated and helpful,” she added.

Swift Pays Her Fan’s College Tuition

Ayesha Khurram posted a screenshot of Taylor Nation, LLC giving her $4,835.58 (CA$6,386.47).

Taylor Swift LLC is the organization or fan club that helps Swift sell merchandise and meet and greets.

They also left a comment from Swift saying: “Ayesha, get your learn on girl. I love you! Taylor.”

Khurram wrote on the Instagram post that it didn’t take long for the donation to come.

“I posted about struggling with paying for tuition,” Khurram said. “Two hours later, I get this in my email. I have no words, and I can’t stop crying. I don’t have words, I don’t have words, I don’t have words, I can’t stop crying.”

The Cybersmile Foundation, a non-profit anti-cyberbullying organization, awarded her with “Cybersmiler of the Month” for helping Khurram with her college tuition.
