The recent COVID-19 outbreak in Beijing has prompted another round of lockdowns. Large swathes of bars and other entertainment venues were shut down. Local authorities have contact traced more than ten thousand who have come into close contact with infected patients. Their residential compounds have been shuttered, with many schools switching their recently-resumed in-person classes to virtual ones again.
