We are in the middle of the biggest shopping weekend of the year, and you may be an owner of a reward credit card that offers cashback.
A recent survey from creditcard.com found that 57% of its adult participants have at least one rewards credit card, and the most popular of these are the ones which offered cashback.
The results of the survey showed 43 percent of its participants say they have a credit card with cash rewards, 13 percent say they have an airline or hotel credit card, and 12% have a general credit card.
Most card-holders are taking advantage of the cash offered by the credit card, according to the survey. During the past year, more than half of the rewards cardholders redeemed their reward for cash, and almost a third exchanged their points for a gift card, which, if used at the right place, can be just as good as cash.
According to experts, other rewards, such as travel or hotel points are not as flexible as cash, which can be used for almost anything, not just travel perks.
Think before getting a new rewards credit card, because not all of them have the best rewards.
