Street Vendors Rally To Lift Permit Cap

Street vendors rallied in New York, demanding that the city break its limit on permits.

If it were passed, New Yorkers could see an additional 4,000 vendors in the City over the next decade, compared to the roughly 4,000 that are already allowed to work.

It’s a move that could legalize the businesses of people working without one who, according to reports, could be fined or arrested for doing so.
