Sidney Eddie Mosesian, better known as Sid Haig, an American actor, film producer, and musician has passed away at the age of 80.
The actor was well known for his role as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie’s trilogy ‘House of 1,000 Corpses,’ ‘The Devil’s Rejects’ and ‘3 From Hell.’
Haig’s wife, Susan L. Oberg, announced his passing in an emotional Instagram post, holding the hand of her husband.
“On Saturday, September 21, 2019, my light, my heart, my true love, my King, the other half of my soul, Sidney, passed from this realm on to the next. He has returned to the Universe, a shining star in her heavens. He was my angel, my husband, my best friend and always will be,” the statement reads.
According to a post on Haig’s official Instagram account, the actor was admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago after suffering a “nasty spell,” Louder reported.
The actor was later admitted to the ICU following serious breathing complications and was kept under observation, according to the outlet.
Oberg wrote that Haig’s passing “came as a shock to all of us.”
“We, as a family, are asking that our privacy and time to mourn be respected,” she said.
Obern concluded the post with: “Goodnight, my love. We will find each other again, next time. I love you.”
The post on Haig’s passing was flooded with comments.
“Oh no, my heart aches for you and the family, RIP Sid,” one user wrote.
Other commenters wrote: “RIP SID. You will never be forgotten,” and, “RIP big guy thank you for being you.”
