‘Exquisite’ and ‘Majestic’: Shen Yun’s Performance Leaves Detroit Audiences in Awe

February 26, 2024

Shen Yun Performing Arts graced the stage at the Detroit Opera House in Detroit, Michigan, over the weekend. Audience members were highly impressed with Shen Yun’s artistry.

“The performance is exquisite. It is majestic, it’s beautiful, the dance is outstanding, the voices are wonderful. They are so entertaining and authentic. It’s absolutely exquisite,” said Susie Hovsepian, co-founder and CEO of the Paul Foundation.

“The interaction between the dancers, the music, and the screen in the background, how it all ties together with such precision. The best way to describe it is precision. It’s beauty and splendor all in one,” said Rob Sobie, president & chief executive officer at ARC Healthcare Technologies.

Theatergoers applauded Shen Yun’s mission to revive 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and values, and took note of a deeper message.

“Very hopeful, that’s what I would say. It was a message of hope and a message of restitution,” said David Vitale, chief engineer at Digital Solutions JR Automation.

“Keep it going, because otherwise communist China would probably erase it,” said Joe Okros, president of A2 Investment Solutions LLC. “It’s imperative that they keep the history going and let the rest of the world realize there was something before communist China.”

Anne-Marie Pruteanu, the managing director at VP&A Trucking LLC, was deeply touched by Shen Yun’s efforts to bring back traditional Chinese culture.

“Bringing the message out there and keep on doing the great job they’re doing, they’re just phenomenal, they’re extraordinary.”

Shen Yun will be performing at the Adler Theatre in Davenport, Iowa, on Feb 27.
