Scared Man Shoots Performer at Haunted House

A performer at a haunted house in South Carolina was shot by a scared visitor. The suspect told the police he thought the gun was a prop and part of the experience.

The incident took place at the Hollywood Wax Museum Haunted House in Myrtle beach. Several members of the group were frightened by a performer. Police say one person in the group fell to the ground, and during the scramble a gun slid back and struck the suspect in the foot. He says he believed the gun was a prop and part of the experience. He picked it up and fired twice, striking the performer once in the shoulder. He then fled the scene but was later arrested.
