Russian Coal Mine Accident Sees 52 Killed

At least 52 people, including six emergency rescuers, died in a coal mine accident in southern Russia, the country’s worst mining disaster in a decade. Russian authorities detained safety inspectors who they say issued a safety certificate for the mine earlier this month without actually checking the facility.
