Running to Be France’s 1st Female President

Opinion polls show Valerie Pecresse as the most dangerous opponent for President Emmanuel Macron who she says “burned a hole in the state coffers.” A former minister for higher education and the budget under Nicolas Sarkozy, she’s calling her style two-thirds Merkel and one-third Thatcher. Pecresse says she wants to bring order and hope to the French people.
