A Florida abortion clinic had its license suspended this past weekend after two women who had undergone procedures at the clinic were hospitalized this year. NTD spoke with Missy Martinez-Stone, CEO of Reprotection, the organization that led the investigation into this clinic.

Martinez-Stone says some clinics in the United States don’t meet established medical or operational standards, and it’s putting women’s lives at risk. She says something as basic as a transfer agreement between a hospital and a clinic that should outline how, when, and what’s needed to move a patient into hospital care in the event of a medical emergency is too often missing.
