Realtor Association Settlement May Present ‘Roadblock’ in House Purchases With VA Loans: Mortgage Expert

People who use Veterans Affairs (VA) loans to buy homes could be impacted by a recent settlement reached by the National Association of Realtors.

NTD speaks to Greg Freeman, the owner of Scissortail Financial Home Loans, who outlines the challenges.

“There will be situations where the veteran buyer who’s using a VA home loan to buy a house cannot get the seller to pay for the buyer’s real estate agent commission. And so in that situation that’s going to create a roadblock on what is an effective way for that real estate agent to be compensated,” Mr. Freeman said.
