NTD to Release New Law Enforcement Show: ‘A Good Cop’

NEW YORK, New York—NTD Television is set to release its new law enforcement show “A Good Cop,” a daring new series that dives into the gritty daily lives of New York Police Department police at the height of today’s rising anti-police sentiment and scrutiny.

Filming and production has wrapped up for the ten-episode series, set in present-day New York City, and created by executive producer David Chai, who also wrote and directed all ten episodes. It was produced by James Orfanos, Ted Orfanos, and Ally Wang. Jimmy C. Xie and Joe Wang also serve as executive producers.

The drama stars Ignacyo Matynia “Break Every Chain”, Taylor Karin “Reject”, Cliff Lobrutto, Jermaine Wells “QuaranTeam!”, Steve Lin, Deidre Koczur, Lydia Fiore, Gilbrando Acevedo, Robert House, Nicolas Greco, Rachit Trehan, Lenny Grossman, Rosario Amico, and former real-life NYPD lieutenant Patrick J. Heraghty.

A Good Cop revolves around the lives of a rookie cop, a seasoned officer, and a retiring captain and the moral dilemmas they face every day. As new evidence surfaces that could expose a corruption scandal, the stakes have never been higher. Each individual needs to walk the wire between duty and family. With the social climate changing rapidly, A Good Cop asks the question: What should policing look like today?

Chai’s previous feature film “Siji:Driver” won Best Feature Film, Best Original Score, and was nominated for Best Director at the 21st Long Island International Film Expo in 2018.

“A Good Cop” premieres on Sunday, Dec. 5. New episode every Sunday at 7:30 p.m. ET & PT / 6:30 p.m. CT / 8:30 p.m. MT. Rerun every Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET & PT / 1 p.m. CT / 3 p.m. MT.
