Police Contact Downing St. Over Party Claim

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is facing a storm of criticism over further allegations of Downing Street lockdown parties. ITV reports that a party was held in the garden of Number 10 during the first national lockdown when social gatherings were banned. The Cabinet says an internal investigation is already underway and the findings will be made public. But Labour’s deputy leader doubts that the prime minister hadn’t known about the party beforehand.
