Paris Jackson, daughter of the late Michael Jackson, has broken her silence regarding allegations of sexual abuse against her father in HBO’s documentary “Leaving Neverland.”

When a fan asked why she stayed quiet about the documentary, Jackson responded that she had said all that she could. There was simply nothing else she could say that hasn’t been said, according to Digital Spy.

She said that it wasn’t her role to do so.

“There’s nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said in regards to defense,” she wrote on Twitter.

In the earlier tweets, Jackson had written that the media had painted her in a negative light. Fans rushed to comment on her post, telling her to be strong.

Sources told PEOPLE that Paris Jackson did not go see the documentary.

Jackson had also posted several tweets that hinted that the documentary may have an impact on her work. She did not refer to the documentary by name, however.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, she wrote, “I actually haven’t made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life. you guys are reaching a bit. at least this wasn’t a disgusting and attacking article though,” reported PEOPLE.

She has since received many tweets, both supportive and critical. One critical tweet, in particular, led Jackson to write, “yeah they do that to everyone with a good heart and tries to make a difference but do you really think that it’s possible to tear his name down? like do you truly believe they stand a chance? relax and have peace.”

“The bigger picture is your father’s legacy ruined and his name smeared forever but whatever though,” the person tweeted back.

“I know injustices are frustrating and it’s easy to get worked up. but reacting with a calm mind usually is more logical than acting out of rage and also…. it feels better to mellow out,” Jackson wrote back.

In the same tweet, she said her cousin, Taj Jackson, was doing a perfect job, and that she supported him. While she was taking a more laid-back approach, her cousin was more vocal about defending the late Michael Jackson.

“taj is doing a perfect job on his own. and I support him. I’m just tryna get everyone to chill out and go with the flow, be mellow and think about the bigger picture. that’s me,” she wrote.

Jackson Family’s Statements

Taj Jackson took a stance against the allegations within the documentary and called it a “one-sided hit job,” according to PEOPLE.

In addition to his defense, he revealed that he was working on his own documentary, where he would be presenting the alleged facts and will be conducting interviews with people who had previously accused Michael Jackson.

“This is not going to be a puff piece,” Taj Jackson said, “it’s not going to be, ‘Oh, let’s show Michael Jackson the humanitarian.’ This is about exposing all the things that have been mustering for 20, 30 years.”

“My family and I have known Wade and his family since he came to America. Don’t tell me a 4 hour one sided hit job that you watched is more reputable than people who actually knew him and saw his interactions. This is all about money and the desperate need to be relevant again,” Taj Jackson wrote in a tweet.

The Jackson issued their own statement on Twitter, stating that Michael Jackson was innocent and that people should do their own research about the people the family called opportunists.

“Facts don’t lie, people do,” it stated.
