The NYPD released photos on Friday of a third juvenile suspect in relation to last week’s killing of a Barnard college freshman, 18-year-old Tessa Majors.

The 14-year-old suspect, who is believed to be ultimately responsible for the stabbing to death of the student from Charlottesville, Virginia, is still at large. His name has not been revealed, probably due to his age, but the police have asked the assistance of the public to solve the case.

“The New York City Police Department requests assistance from the public in locating this individual. All calls are kept strictly confidential,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison wrote on Twitter.

Two accomplices have, ages 13 and 14, have both been arrested and questioned. One of the accessories has been questioned and released; the other one is charged with murder, robbery, and criminal possession of a weapon, reported WLNY. Because of his age, he will be tried in a family court.

The 14-year-old was on his way to turn himself in in the accompaniment of an adult, but he allegedly bolted from the car and disappeared in the streets of Harlem when the two were on their way to the police station.

However, NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison is “confident” the teen will be tracked down, ABC News reported.

Majors’s funeral was set on Saturday to take place together with “A Celebration of Life” in her home-town of Charlottesville.

Majors was stabbed near the Manhattan all-women’s school on the evening of Dec. 11. She had been walking through Morningside Park at 116th Street and Morningside Drive when police believe a group of people confronted her before being stabbed multiple times, said NYPD Chief of Patrol Services Rodney Harrison said.

Majors staggered her way up to the “surface side” of Morningside Drive after being stabbed, according to Beilock, where she was found by a school security officer who called 911. The 18-year-old was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

“We are devastated by the senseless loss of our beautiful and talented Tess,” Majors’ family said in a statement, reported the NY Daily News. “We are thankful for the incredible outpouring of love and support we have received from across the country. We would also like to express our appreciation for the efforts of the men and women of the NYPD, who continue to work diligently on this case,” the Majors family added, reported WLNY.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS (for Spanish, dial 888-57-PISTA), visit the Crime Stoppers website, or send a direct message on Twitter @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
