The New York City pub owner who refused to close for the lockdown was arrested Saturday night for allegedly hitting a sheriff’s deputy with his Jeep and causing leg fractures.

Louis Gelormino is the attorney for Mac’s Public House co-owner Danny Presti. He says the sheriffs are exaggerating what happened, and that 15 unmarked cars from were sent to arrest his client.

Gelormino says the owner would not have been released if he broke the deputy’s leg.

Gelormino says the sheriff’s department ambushed his client on a dark street.

A community activist says the pub owner was politically ambushed.

He says New York’s governor and the mayor are crushing the little guys who stand up to their lockdown orders.

Gelormino says they have 80 percent of the incident recorded on tape. He says, when the investigation is over, they will release the footage and people will know the truth.
