NBA Playoffs: Warriors-Mavericks Game 5

Thursday night in the NBA, Golden State can reclaim their one-time grip on the western conference again and advance to the finals with a win at home over Dallas. The Warriors, who made the finals five times in a row from 2015 to 2019, while winning three NBA titles, still lead the Mavericks 3–1 after dropping game four on the road Tuesday. No NBA team has ever come back from a 3–0 deficit to win.

The Mavericks meanwhile won the last time out with their pick-and-roll-dominated offense centered around Luka Doncic and his ability to exploit mismatches. The 22-year-old superstar leads all postseason players this year in scoring at 32 points a game.
