The holiday season can be both a time of delight and distress.
For Lisa McMillan, a mum in Longmont, getting presents for her children hasn’t been easy.
“This year’s been really hard. I’m a single mom of five. And I’ve been really stressed out about Christmas, and I actually was going to cancel my layaway because I couldn’t pay it,” said Lisa.
However, one day she received an email stating someone paid off her layaway.
She wasn’t the only one, Natasha Loper had the same thing happen to her as well.
“And I was just like, is this a joke, is this for real? Is this a scam?” questioned Natasha.
As it turns out, it wasn’t a scam. On Nov. 26, the Walmart in Longmont had a special visitor who spent $45,000 and paid off everyone’s layaway.
According to Fox News, the store said the donor has chosen to stay anonymous.
“What he or she has done has made so many children and families less stressed and just so happy to have a great Christmas,” said Natasha.
