MyPillow has joined the league of private companies that pledged to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by producing surgical masks to meet the skyrocketing demand from healthcare workers, the company announced on Twitter.
“MyPillow is excited to announce that we are now manufacturing face masks for hospitals across the country!” the Minnesota manufacturer of pillows, bedspreads, and other household products wrote to Twitter.

The latest action added to the growing list of private companies that have somehow pledged to help to fight the viral disease as it spreads around the world.
Other companies like Tesla, 3M, and Honeywell have also picked up the gauntlet and started producing masks.
“We are honored to support the U.S. government’s efforts to protect Americans with personal protective equipment made right here in the United States,” Honeywell’s CEO said in a statement, reported USA Today. “Our Rhode Island facility already produces industry-leading safety gear and soon will play a critical role in supplying the Strategic National Stockpile with N95 masks.”
Apple CEO Timm Cook said his company would donate millions of masks to the United States and countries in Europe to stop the CCP virus.
“Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19,” Cook said on Twitter. “We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.”

NTD refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
It is not clear exactly which type of mask MyPillow is producing. The highest demand is for the N95 mask, which is designed to provide a very close facial fit and up to 95 percent filtration of airborne particles for greater protection from infection.
Health institutions are urgently requesting a greater supply of N95 masks.
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) administrator Peter Gaynor recently appeared on ABC News to say that shipments of masks was happening, although he was not able to provide details or commitments as to when the masks would arrive to the health professionals working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 war.
