Moscow Pushes Out Election Opposition

Russia is set to hold parliamentary elections Sept. 17–19.  But the outcome is already all but confirmed, under Putin’s rule. The country’s ruling party has worked to keep the opposition off the ballot and is further courting voters in eastern Ukraine, which is held by separatists.
