Accidents are unexpected events that often result in injury such as a car accident, sporting accident, fall, burn injury or animal attack… It is no wonder that accidents can have emotional and psychological consequences for children.
In a series of terrible accidents, ‘miraculous’ survivals have been recorded, many of them are children. So do our children have a greater chance of surviving in accidents?
Children are fitter. At the age of six or seven some of a child’s bones are not fully hardened, and are still growing. They are having more flexible bones. They also have stronger hearts.
