Presidential assistant and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner is visiting Iraq for the first time.

Kushner is traveling with Joint Chiefs Chairman Marine Gen. Joseph Dunford Jr. to meet with U.S. commanders and Iraqi officials, to get a clearer picture of how the battle against ISIS is proceeding.

President Trump would like to accelerate the campaign against ISIS. Real-world, ground-level information could be invaluable for making plans for future campaigns.
