India Seizes Money Linked to Smartphone Maker

India’s anti-money laundering agency says it seized 119 bank accounts over tax evasion. It concerns almost $60 million worth of money from Indian businesses linked with Chinese smartphone maker Vivo. The Indian Enforcement Directorate said Vivo India transferred almost $8 million, or almost 50 percent of its total turnover, outside the country—mainly to China.
