The House voted to create an independent commission to investigate the Jan. 6 Capitol breach. Former President Donald Trump opposes it, along with Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who calls the proposal slanted. All Democrats voted in favor of it, with about a few dozen Republicans joining.
And never-before-seen video footage apparently shows Capitol breach suspects saying that they have a right to peacefully assemble.
