Leonard Linton of Pinetta, Florida, is now a millionaire because of his pregnant dog “Ivy.”

Linton says he took a different and quicker route home after receiving a call that Ivy was not feeling well.

That road led him to a Stop N Shop store in Live Oak, Florida, where he purchased a $10 scratch-off game and won the $2 million grand prize.

“I still can’t believe it. This is life-changing, but I’m definitely getting Ivy a new kennel!” Linton said when asked if he had any big plans.

The convenience store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $4,000 bonus commission.

Linton chose a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1.645 million at the lottery headquarters in Tallahassee Monday. Of course, he claimed his prize with his lucky pup by his side.

The $10 game 100X THE CASH was launched in January. It features more than $337.9 million in cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-3.44.
