The infection causes COVID-19—and has appeared as a number of variants around the world.

Countries are largely adapting to seeing low numbers of the virus long-term.

But in China and Hong Kong—a strict “Zero-Cases” or “Zero-COVID-19” policy is still in place.

Though the Omicron variant has given the goal a run for its money.
