EV Makers Ask for Subsidy Program Expansion

Electric vehicle makers are reportedly asking the government to keep subsiding buyers. Right now, you can get up to $7,500 back if you buy an EV. You’ll get it back as a tax credit when you file your taxes.

The electric vehicle tax credit is supposed to only be available for the first 200,000 EVs each manufacturer sells. The idea is to speed up the transition from gas to electric it seems.
