Epidemiologist: Change High-Risk Behavior to Mitigate Spread of Monkeypox

The World Health Organization on Saturday declared monkeypox a global health emergency. Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus overrode an expert committee that was split 9–6 on the label. NTD spoke with evidence-based medicine specialist, research methodologist, and epidemiologist Paul Alexander, who said he doesn’t think there’s enough evidence to warrant this designation.
