Boris Johnson’s inner circle is hollowed out after five senior aides quit, including his chief of staff, his principal private secretary, his director of communications, and a special adviser. Seen as most damaging, the prime minister’s long-term ally Munira Mirza resigned as the director of the Number 10 policy unit. Ministers said Johnson is reshaping his top team following the Partygate report. The prime minister acknowledged it’s a challenging time, but he said “change is good.”
