The fencing around the Capitol has come back down. The violence expected over the weekend at the Justice for J6 event—in reference to the events on Jan. 6—didn’t pan out. While the event ended without incident, there were some clashes and four arrests. Police confirmed that between 400 and 500 people showed up. Officers wore riot gear. She ruled that “changing the law to clear the way to [legal permanent residence] status is tremendous and enduring policy change that dwarfs its budgetary impact.”
