A new study about natural herd immunity is causing a stir among government officials and the medical community. The study by Israeli researchers found previous COVID-19 infection confers better protection, up to 13 times, against infection and hospitalization than COVID-19 vaccines. A hospital system in Michigan is letting workers forgo the vaccine if they can prove natural immunity. And when asked why Americans who recovered from the virus on their own should still be vaccinated, Dr. Anthony Fauci said, “I don’t have a really firm answer for you on that.”

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is feeling the heat over the Afghanistan withdrawal. Top Senate Democrat Bob Menendez, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called Blinken’s decision “fatally flawed.” This comes as Blinken testified before the Senate Tuesday.

House Republicans are raising concerns with the immigration portion of President Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion budget resolution. They note the bill would grant amnesty to nearly 8 million illegal immigrants and encourage more people to flood the southern border.
