The City of Huntington Beach in Southern California passed a new election integrity law. Voters agree to be required to present voter identification to vote starting in 2026. The law would also allow the city to facilitate 20 more in-person polling locations and the monitoring of ballot drop boxes. But state officials are suing the city, claiming it’ll make it harder for minority groups to vote.
