Baby Koala Comes Out from Mom’s Pouch

Growing from the size of a jellybean and spending seven months in her mother’s pouch, baby koala Ellie finally showed her face on Nov. 6.

Baby Ellie seems to be very curious about the big world. She looked around and tried to nibble on different things, while clinging to her mother most of the time, even when she took a nap.

Ellie is the first koala born in three years at Symbio Wildlife Park in Australia. A representative said it marked a positive start to the revival of the parks’s captive breeding program.

5 Tiny Baby Meerkats Might Melt Your Heart

Some might say that these five tiny baby meerkats are the cutest little animals you will ever see. Born at Symbio Wildlife Park in late August, they can comfortably fit in the palms of a zookeeper.

They can now stand on their hind legs and eat solid foods. While venturing out of their nest box, they squeak and mimic their parents and siblings.

The video was released on October 2.
