Customers of two New York City clubs have raised over half a million dollars to save them.
The owner of the West Bank Cafe, Steve Olsen, says customers started a GoFundMe page and they put together a telethon raising over $340,000 in less than 2 weeks.
Owner of Birdland, Gianni Valenti, said their customers raised over $170,000.
The owners of Birdland and the West Bank Cafe now say they think they can survive the pandemic—thanks to their customers.
