NEW YORK—Shen Yun Performing Arts continued to impact audience members with dynamic storytelling through music and dance at Lincoln Center in New York on March 13.

Wayne Barkley, President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of IT company Ringorang was in attendance and explained how he felt about the experience.

“I was on the edge of my chair, watching just amazing colors like a rainbow of excitement through the air,” said Barkley. “I wanted to know what was next, yet I was captivated at the same time, in the moment.

“I was so thrilled by it. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life, and I’ve been to a lot of performances and it was just wonderful to have the stories expressed by these wonderful artists, that really passion, I could feel their energy really affecting me, and it made me had a great time tonight.”

When asked about his favorite part, Barkley commented on how moving each set was.

“Actually you know, when I think about which one is my favorite, it’s really, really hard to pick. Because all of them had a unique meaning for me and really moved me with the story around, you know, the girl who turned who was a boy, went to school, and just getting lost in the artwork, and the monk story with the… everything was really exciting for me yeah.”

Call to Action

Shen Yun’s six company’s tour the world simultaneously, unfortunately, they do not tour in China due to the Chinese Communist Regime not allowing them to perform.

“Except in China, It’d be really great, if our president Donald Trump, could do something about that,” said Barkley. “Somehow, with the leaders of China. Donald Trump always talking about China. He’s always talking about it.

“So hopefully there can be some way to come together, even through business I know that, you know the founder of Ali Baba, these kind of things, let’s come together, let’s put this inside of China.

“Let’s make that impact, let’s do something dramatic, bold, and let’s make this happen, let’s actually help to transform culture, so we have more acceptance, more tolerance, and if someone’s communist they can still watch the show.”

“They don’t have to believe in the messages. If someone is not communist, you can still watch the show. It’s about acceptance. It’s about enjoying art. Why not? Let’s put it right in the smack dab middle China.”

Shen Yun conveys uplifting messages, imparts traditional culture and history, and exposes the persecution and human rights abuses in China.

“This is educational at the world level, human right level, and I think it’s really important that this is exposed to more people,” said Barkley.

“I was completely impacted,” he said. “I could feel each artist, they’re unique artists yet they’re all united as one, and I could feel each of them sort of speaking to me, and each is unique in their own way, but yet it’s like it’s a unit, and I loved the leads, and even the background dancers and artists it was… I really liked how you had the singers. The soprano, and the tenor, and this, the two string instrument. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life, it was really inspiring for me.”

Appreciation and Gratitude

“I really felt this spiritual and divine story background, behind every single dance,” said Federico Novello, a professional model. “I’ve been really amazed about that, I really appreciate it.”

“Also I appreciated the fact that they insert the Falun Dafa story in such an important event, like a ballet in New York at the Lincoln Center,” said Novello. “So, I have to say that this is the way, to use the heart, through the heart, change people, inspire them.

“And I don’t know if all the people that were here tonight could understand that, but even if you’re not conscious about what you’re seeing, your unconscious will definitely see it and live that. So people that assisted to this show tonight, probably will go home changed.”

“In such a powerful way, and I want to thank them,” said Novello. “Because their sacrifice is the life, they are putting all the time that they have, all the energy, all the philosophy that they live everyday. I really want to thank them, because this is such an important thing for them, and I have to say that I really felt it, so I really thank them. I really want to thank them.”
