The House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing on March 21 discussed China’s economic coercion coupled with its expanding surveillance, which has become an increasing concern to the United States and its allies.
Officials said more needs to be done to combat the threat of China leveraging its rare earth minerals to pressure countries economically.
