China in Focus (March 21)

Chinese authorities have been reporting zero cases of local infection of the CCP virus, but residents in China are telling us a different story.

On the same day Chinese authorities reported zero new cases in Hubei province, a major local news outlet released an article detailing one family’s plight to seek medical treatment for the virus.

Meanwhile in the United States, nearly one in four Americans were told to stay home starting Saturday. Lawmakers in Washington neared an unprecedented $1 trillion dollar deal to help stem economic fallout from the pandemic.

And a priest in Maryland is offering drive-through confessions, an effort to offer hope in uncertain times.

NTD refers to the novel coronavirus, which causes the disease COVID-19, as the CCP virus because the Chinese Communist Party’s coverup and mismanagement allowed the virus to spread throughout China and create a global pandemic.
