Care Home Staff Levels ‘Dangerously Low’: Survey

A survey by public service union Unison says some care home residents are dying alone and their everyday needs are being “neglected” due to “dangerously low” staffing levels. Almost every single care worker surveyed spoke of staff shortages, with burnout and low pay being among the main reasons given, and about a third said that staff levels were dangerously low.
