California is working to catch unemployment fraud over CCP virus lockdowns. Some claims were even made under a sitting U.S. senator’s name. Last week, the Employment Development Department said it was taking action against potentially fraudulent unemployment claims.
According to the department, nearly 3.5 million unemployment claims from COVID lockdowns are potentially fraudulent.
Over 1.4 million of the claims are now frozen. The other 2 million have already been denied.
