After 43 years in Silicon Valley, Oracle is moving its headquarters from California to Austin, Texas. Elon Musk and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have made similar announcements in the past few weeks.

The Epoch Times California Insider show talked to the former President of the California Board of Accountancy, Manuel Ramirez.

He’s now chairman of the board of RJI International, one of the largest Hispanic CPA firms in California. He says the growing tax burden on companies is driving them away.

Ramirez says California’s socialist policies and high taxes actually result in a net loss in revenue for the state. But he doesn’t see any change coming unless there are business-wise officials elected. Jobs at all levels of society are being lost and California is losing out as a result. He gave the example of entrepreneurs who are planning to sell their company.
